Anyone who sticks with Cybernations for long is likely "making their own fun" - striving towards personal goals or competing against friends, etc.

So what milestones have you been setting (or achieving) for yourselves?

My big ones so far have been:

    * Catch up to my buddy Grandeza, who had a 3 month head start on me in CN. Sadly, the last big war ended that competition RIGHT BEFORE I CAUGHT UP! ^o)

    * Reach 10k NS (which I did right before said war, and then plunged back below it again!)

    * Break into Menotah's Top 20 Nations by NS (did that a few months ago)

    * Get my first Wonder (also did that a few months ago)

    * Switch from Tech Seller to Tech Buyer (also did that a few months ago)

    * Reach 100m in cash on hand (did that today - don't raid me! :D )

    * Get the Manhattan Project - haven't done it yet, but I'm thinking about it!

What about you? What's been keeping you motivated?

(NOTE: All of the above are personal milestones - I haven't even begun to list the alliance-related ones!)

    Allot of those milestones I've already accomplished, but things that I look forward to now;

    Reaching 30kns
    Top 10 of Menotah's nations
    Seeing my alliance thrive
Seeing my alliance reach 1m ns on it's first birthday :) (unlikely to get 50k ns in such a short time, but I can always hope)
Seeing my alliance reach 4.0+ score
    Reach 500mill warchest

Stay small as long as I can, tech deal until I have so much money that it's obscene.
I actually encourage this strategy :D Once you have enough money you could make yourself a micro super power, also everyone who buys from you will get of tech, which means everyone else is growing. Maybe you could even get wonders by tech dealing enough?

I tech dealt until around 3,500 infra and started buying wonders then. You could probably do pretty well pausing at the 2,999 jump, but it would be rough accumulating enough cash to buy wonders.

Personally, I plan to hang out at the 3,999 jump for another couple of months more than the 3 or so I've been here. I'm making enough money to save up and buy increasingly expensive wonders, while staying relatively small. From what I understand, Fireblade and Don1095 have similar plans...

Mine is get a MP along and achieving a 1:2 Tech:Infra ration
I have read this is the way to go for the ratio. However I was browsing another nation and he has 8,479.24 tech and 4,999.99 infra. What advantages are it on doing it this way? Besides having more tech decreases infra cost.
He probably got into alot of battles and nuked alot so his infra is about half of his tech. You dont lose alot of tech in wars compared to infra. But your bills are really low and you have the advantage with tanks and stuff during wars.

There really isn't an advantage to that tech level at that infra, it puts you in the NS range of people with much more infra, which is a disadvantage because they can have more troops and tanks.
